Sr. Accountant

We are seeking a Sr. Accountant to join our manufacturing team. This role offers a long term contract employment opportunity. You will be part of a dynamic accounting team and your core responsibilities will include account reconciliation, balance sheet reconciliation, bank reconciliations, and general ledger management.
You will also be involved in month-end and year-end closing processes.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Conduct balance sheet reconciliations regularly to maintain financial integrity.
- Carry out bank reconciliations to confirm that all transactions align with bank statements.
- Manage the general ledger and ensure it accurately reflects the company's financial transactions.
- Drive month-end closing procedures to finalize financial data within specified timelines.
- Lead year-end closing processes to prepare the company's financials for the new fiscal year.
- Leverage your Microsoft Excel skills to analyze financial data and generate reports.
- Utilize your knowledge of QAD for efficient financial management and reporting.
- Use Excel formulas to simplify data processing and enhance accuracy.
- Support the division controller as needed to ensure smooth financial operations.
- Must have a strong understanding and experience in Account Reconciliation
- Proficient in Balance Sheet Reconciliation
- Experience in conducting Bank Reconciliations
- Required to have a working knowledge of General Ledger
- Must be able to prepare and analyze Journal Entries
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is essential
- Previous experience in Month End Close
- Knowledge in QAD will be beneficial
- Must have a good understanding of Excel Formulas
- Experience in Year End Closings is required
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
- Must have excellent communication skills
- Good problem-solving skills are necessary
- Must be able to work independently and in a team
- Attention to detail is essential for this role
- Must have a minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a similar role
- Experience in the Manufacturing industry is preferred
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) certification will be an advantage
- Must have strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to handle sensitive, confidential information is required.
