Robert Half talent solutions is seeking an Accounting Manager for our client in the Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania area. The Accounting Manager will be responsible for overseeing the financial operations and reporting of the company, ensuring accuracy and compliance in all accounting tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and payroll.
  • Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes.
  • Prepare financial statements and reports for senior management and external stakeholders.
  • Monitor and analyze accounting data to produce financial forecasts and insights.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting principles, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and implement internal controls to safeguard company assets.
  • Collaborate with auditors and other external parties for audits and reviews.
  • Mentor and develop a team of accounting professionals, fostering a positive and high-performance work environment.

  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in a professional accounting role
  • Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems is necessary
  • Comprehensive understanding of Accounting Functions is required
  • Experience with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) management
  • Knowledge of Auditing practices and principles is important
  • Experience in Billing Functions is beneficial
  • Candidates must have the right to work in the hiring location
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills are necessary
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities are required
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail are essential
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
