• Machinists set up, operate, and maintain precision equipment like lathes, mills, and drills. They also adjust machines during operation to ensure optimal performance.
• Programming experience is required
• Machinists use precision tools like calipers and micrometers to measure, examine, and test finished products to ensure they meet specifications and are free of defects.
• Machinists perform routine maintenance on machines and identify when repairs are needed. They also maintain a safe and clean work environment.
• Machinists read and interpret technical drawings and diagrams to determine how to configure the machine and check the outputs.
• Machinists set up, operate, and maintain precision equipment like lathes, mills, and drills. They also adjust machines during operation to ensure optimal performance.
• Machinists use raw materials like metal or plastic to create new parts or repair existing ones. They cut, grind, drill, shape, and turn machine parts to meet specifications.
