Head of Public Relations, Shopbop & Zappos, Shopbop Brand Marketing

The ideal candidate will serve as the primary architect of our communications narrative, managing external PR agency relationships, crisis communications, and corporate comm while providing strategic counsel to senior leadership. This role offers the unique opportunity to drive brand awareness and relevance of two distinct brands within the Amazon family of companies.

• Develop and execute comprehensive PR strategies aligned with business objectives for both Shopbop and Zappos
• Lead and manage relationships with external PR agencies, ensuring consistent messaging and maximum ROI
• Serve as primary media spokesperson and manage high-profile media relationships and interview opportunities for spokespeople across both Shopbop and Zappos
• Direct crisis communications and issues management, including development of response protocols and messaging
• Provide strategic communications counsel to senior leadership teams across both brands
• Oversee corporate communications initiatives, including executive and internal communications, internal announcements
• Create and maintain crisis management playbooks and lead rapid response efforts during sensitive situations
• Develop and manage PR budget across both brands, including agency fees and program costs
• Build and maintain relationships with key industry influencers, media outlets, and stakeholders
• Measure and report on PR effectiveness, including share of voice, sentiment analysis, and media impact
• 7+ years of recent professional communications or public relations experience
• Bachelor's degree
• Proven track record of developing and executing successful PR campaigns. Demonstrated experience managing corporate communications and crisis management.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong background in retail, fashion, or e-commerce communications
• History of building and maintaining senior media relationships
• Strong network of fashion and retail media contacts- Experience working with multiple brands simultaneously
• Master's degree in Communications, Business Administration, or related field
