Payroll Specialist

We are seeking a Payroll Specialist to join our team in New York. As a Payroll Specialist, you will be responsible for managing payroll functions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable laws and company policies. This role is a contract employment opportunity and offers the chance to work in a dynamic and collaborative environment.
Responsibilities:
- Process weekly payroll for both hourly and salaried employees, ensuring proper timekeeping and adherence to schedules
- Utilize software systems such as Kronos and ADP for payroll processing and auditing
- Support a large employee base, responding to inquiries and providing timely resolution
- Collaborate with team members in regular meetings to discuss payroll matters and streamline processes
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records, including tracking bonuses and special payments
- Use auditing skills to review interfaces and adjust as needed to ensure accurate payroll processing
- Leverage Microsoft Teams for communication and collaboration with team members
- Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and company policies related to payroll
- Contribute to the development and implementation of payroll procedures and guidelines
- Provide exceptional customer service to employees, addressing any payroll related questions or concerns promptly and professionally. • Proficiency in ADP Workforce Now is essential for this role.
- Auditing skills are required.
- Knowledge and experience in Vantage is a must.
- The candidate must have experience with ADP - Payroll.
- Experience handling Payroll for over 500 employees is necessary.
- Proficiency in the Kronos Timekeeping System is required.
