Day - 12 Hour (United States of America)

This is a Stanford Health Care Tri-Valley job.

A Brief Overview

Under the direction of the Operating Room Charge Nurse performs those tasks directly related to preparing and maintaining anesthesia supplies and the equipment for surgical cases. Assists Anesthesiologist with patient care during procedures.

What you will do
  • At the start of shift, responsible for reviewing the daily maintenance of anesthesia supplies and equipment to ensure proper working condition
  • Support Anesthesiologists when requested in Cath Lab, Labor & Delivery, and ER. Ensure anesthesia supplies and equipment are available and in working order in labor and delivery.
  • Evening Tech will support evening crew as well as restock anesthesia carts and prepare OR suites for next day.
  • Responsible for setting up, cleaning and turnover of anesthia machines and cart to prepare for next procedure. Also responsible for recordkeeping in relation to work completed.
  • Works with Materials Manager and medical supply to insure ordering of all anesthesia supplies and equipment.
  • Employee must perform all duties and responsibilities in accordance with the C-I-CARE Standards of the Hospital. C-I-CARE is the foundation of Stanford Health Care Tri-Valley patient-experience and represents a framework for patient-centered interactions.
Education Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED Required
Experience Qualifications
  • Less than 6 mos operating room experience Required
  • Anesthia Technician certification Preferred
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Good communication skills with the ability to read, write and understand the English language
  • Ability to work as a valued team member
  • Problem identification and resolution skills
  • Effective organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledgeable about current practice and compliance requirements within job role and specialty.
  • Strong computer skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Knowledge of Medical Terminology
  • Basic knowledge of surgical settings/environment
Licenses and Certifications
  • Current American Heart Association Certification for Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers required

Base Pay Scale: Generally starting at $34.51 - $44.66 per hour

The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, experience, education, specialty and training. This pay scale is not a promise of a particular wage.
