We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for a Data Entry Clerk in Tulare, California. This role is in the data management industry and will require you to work in a traditional office setting. As a Data Entry Clerk, you will be chiefly responsible for creating and maintaining digital databases of customer information, handling office equipment, and providing occasional administrative support.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage spreadsheets to monitor crucial customer data and orders.
  • Transfer data from physical format into a digital database.
  • Update and maintain customer records in the database.
  • Organize and verify outdated data, making necessary amendments to records.
  • Operate standard office equipment such as scanners and printers.
  • Search and investigate information recorded in files.
  • Perform routine database backups to ensure data security.
  • Input text-based and numerical information from source documents swiftly and accurately.
  • Sort and organize physical copies of documents after entering data electronically.
  • Review data for deficiencies or errors, correcting any incompatibilities.
  • Assist with special projects that require extensive data entry.
  • Provide cross-departmental data entry support on an ad-hoc basis.
  • Operate common office equipment, like scanners and printers. • Must have at least 1 year of experience in a role involving data entry.
  • Proficient in data entry tasks, including numeric entries.
  • Familiarity with filing systems and their organization.
  • Possesses excellent attention to detail and accuracy in entering data.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office tools, particularly Microsoft Excel.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • High school diploma or equivalent educational qualification.
  • Capable of handling confidential and sensitive information responsibly.
