Quality Engineer
A Quality Engineer is needed for a global power leader in the Bloomfield, CT area. The role involves researching, testing, and ensuring the quality, functionality, and compliance of products, equipment, and processes by utilizing engineering principles, quality standards, and industry tools such as PPAP, APQP, MSA, SPC, and FMEA, while also providing technical guidance, training, and oversight to maintain product reliability and precision.

work hours: 8am to 5pm

responsibilities:
- Develop and implement sampling procedures and design quality evaluation forms.
- Establish programs to assess precision and accuracy of production equipment, testing, and measurement tools.
- Conduct training sessions and develop training material on quality control processes.
- Supervise and direct workers involved in measuring, testing, and recording quality data.
- Research and test the design, functionality, and maintenance of products, equipment, systems, and processes.
- Read and interpret blueprints to evaluate product integrity and compliance with standards.
- Create engineering sketches and drawings using computer applications related to the engineering field.
Skills:
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, and computer-generated reports.
- Experience with Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software.
- Knowledge of PPAP, APQP, MSA, SPC, and FMEA.
- Familiarity with IATF and AIAG Core Tools.
- Proficiency in Minitab software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (required).
- 5-7 years of relevant experience (required).
