Maintenance Technician
Location: San Diego, CA 92113 Hourly: $34.30 - $37.65 per hour, based on experience
We are seeking a dedicated Maintenance Technician to join our team! This hands-on position will involve troubleshooting and repairing production equipment while ensuring safety and operational excellence.

Responsibilities- Perform preventive maintenance and troubleshoot/repair all shipyard production equipment, including motors and controllers, generators, power panels and sub-stations, PLCs, VFDs, public address systems, HVAC, and machinery controllers.
- Safely troubleshoot 480V 3-phase circuits and evaluate, troubleshoot, and repair electrical equipment as needed.
- Perform other related tasks assigned, some of which may become essential to the position.
- Maintain housekeeping standards, including sweeping and ensuring cleanliness in all work areas.
- Attend safety, quality, and/or process improvement meetings as required.
- Work with constantly moving machinery and mechanical parts in high-noise environments.
- Follow all work in accordance with OSHA safety regulations and lock/tag out procedures.
- Perform work in various conditions, including working at heights, in confined spaces, and on any shift as needed.
- Ensure that repairs are completed and equipment is returned to operational status after troubleshooting faulty components or circuitry.
- Use electrical test equipment, hand, and power tools to evaluate malfunctions and repair equipment.
- Provide general safety awareness in work areas by hearing warning signals, reading safety instructions, and avoiding hazards.
