SUMMARY: As a Territory Business Development Manager, youll serve as the ambassador for our cutting-edge products in piping isolation, tube plugs, heat exchanger tools and flow measurement equipment across the power, oil, gas and chemicals sectors.
DUTIES OR RESPONSIBILITIES: Embrace and exemplify companys core values of trust, support, communication, collaboration and creative solutions
Manage a designated geographic territory within the US, to achieve targeted sales goal volumes and marginsCultivate and maintain strong relationships with existing clients to ensure satisfaction and retention
Identify and pursue new business opportunities by prospecting for new clients through various channels such as cold calling, networking events and industry conferences.Prepare for and actively participate in trade shows to showcase our products and engage with potential clients.
Lead user meetings, appointments, and educational sessions such as "lunch and learns" to cultivate and expand business within the territory.
Develop and deliver formal and informal sales presentations and proposals tailored to the specific needs and interests of clients
Effectively manage and maintain a territory sales pipeline, consistently updating data in the Companys CRM system
Prepare comprehensive sales activity reports for regular sales meetings, including detailed information on calls, meetings, and competitive insights recorded in SalesforceCollaborate closely with service teams involved in turnarounds and maintenance projects to ensure seamless execution and customer satisfaction.
Negotiate terms and pricing with clients to secure contracts and close sales deals. Ensure all sales agreements are executed in accordance with company policies and procedures.
Participate actively in bi-weekly sales meetings to provide updates on sales activities, share insights, and collaborate with colleagues to drive continuous improvement and growth.
Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and new developments in the field of business development. Continuously seek opportunities for professional growth and development.
EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS: 3 years of experience as an Outside Sales Representative in industrial sales or the Chemical/Petrochemical industry
High School Diploma or equivalent requiredDegree in Business, a technical field, or equivalent work experience preferred
Demonstrated proficiency in conflict resolution and problem-solving, with a proven track record of effectively navigating challenging situations
Adaptable and capable of thriving in a fast-paced environment, maintaining composure and delivering results
Possesses the autonomy and capability to efficiently manage tasks and projects independently, ensuring timely and successful completionSkilled in translating technically complex information into clear and accessible formats, facilitating understanding among diverse audiences
Strong teamwork abilities, able to collaborate effectively across departments and lead cross-functional initiatives to achieve common goals
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a talent for crafting compelling narratives and delivering engaging presentations.
Proficient in understanding the specific needs and intricacies of process industries, allowing for targeted and effective solutions.
Possesses a comprehensive understanding of piping requirements and terminology, enabling seamless communication and collaboration within the industry.
Skilled in utilizing Microsoft Office suite, including Excel, Word, and/or PowerPoint.
