Responsibilities:
The Nursing Director role is to oversee the daily clinical operations of the Med/Surg, Tele, Stepdown and ICU units. This includes 24/7 oversight of patient care including nursing assessments, planning, implementation and evaluation the delivery of patient care to support our goal of quality patient care to the community we serve.The Director is responsible for retaining competent staff. This position involves coaching, counselling and evaluating staff performance according to hospital guidelines. The Director will be responsible for measuring patient outcomes, making adjustments to programs and services to achieve expected outcomes.
The Director will determine department staffing needs, performance improvement initiatives and maintain compliance with Joint Commission and all state and federal regulations. This position reports to the Chief Nursing Officer.
Qualifications:
Education and Work Experience- Current and valid state license as a Registered Nurse.
- Current BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current.
- Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)-(AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current.
- Minimum of 5 years Acute Care experience.
- Minimum of 2 years previous Administrative experience preferred.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required for all new hires after 1/11/2021.
