Key Responsibilities:
- Charge expenses to accounts and cost centers by analyzing invoice/expense reports and recording entries.
- Verify vendor accounts by reconciling monthly statements and related transactions.
- Perform day to day management of all payment cycle activities, ensuring efficiency and accuracy.
- Maintain historical records by filing documents and ensure these records are current for audit purposes.
- Facilitate the prompt payment of invoices, responding to vendor inquiries about payment status and discrepancies.
- Assist in month-end closing procedures and other accounting projects as needed.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Proven experience as an Accounts Payable Specialist, preferably in the construction industry.
- Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounts payable principles.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite and accounting software.
- Knowledge of construction accounting software is a plus.
- Excellent organization and communication skills, and strong attention to detail.
