Sr. mechanical engineer

Overview:

The Sr Mechanical Engineer is responsible for the design and planning of new and existing products by performing engineering duties and developing, designing and testing mechanical devices.

Responsibilities:

• Designs, develops, and tests all aspects of mechanical components, equipment, and machinery.
• Responsible for planning, input, review, output, validation of, and changes of the design for assigned tasks.
• Maintain electronic job files as applicable to assigned tasks.
• Technical mechanical resource to Sales, Service and Production.
• Applies knowledge of engineering principles to design products such as engines, instruments, controls, robots, machines, etc.
• Involved in fabrication, operation, application, installation, and/or repair of mechanical products.
• Cross-trains designated back-ups.
• Create/modify 3D parts & assemblies
• Create/ modify 2d Mechanical Drawings
• Mechanical Design Changes
• Create/ modify technical manuals.
• Creating/ modify work instructions.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor of science in mechanical engineering
• Must be skilled in the use of Microsoft Office, 3D Modeling, and other software or technology as relevant to this position.
• Inventor experience required
• ERP system knowledge a plus
