Technical Accounting Manager

We are offering a short-term contract employment opportunity for a Technical Accounting Manager in the Consumer Products industry, based in Portland, Oregon. As a Technical Accounting Manager, you will be expected to handle a variety of tasks, including account reviews, general ledger work, and collaborating with external consultants on valuation matters.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage the processing of customer credit applications in an efficient manner.
• Maintain and update customer credit records accurately.
• Handle and resolve customer inquiries promptly.
• Monitor customer accounts and take necessary actions when needed.
• Execute account reviews, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
• Perform general ledger tasks, maintaining the company's financial records.
• Collaborate with external consultants for the valuation of goodwill impairment.
• Participate in the month-end close process, ensuring all financial data is accurate and up to date.
• Use Accounting Software Systems like SAP for various accounting functions.
• Handle Financial Reporting, including auditing and consolidation needs.
• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems is required.
• Deep understanding of Accounting Functions is necessary.
• Prior experience with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) is essential.
• Familiarity with auditing procedures is needed.
• Knowledge of SAP software is a prerequisite.
• Expertise in managing the General Ledger is mandatory.
• Strong skills in Financial Reporting are necessary.
