Vertical Lathe Machinist
Our machine shop is seeking a skilled and experienced CNC Lathe Set-Up Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting up and operating CNC lathes to produce high-quality parts according to specifications. This role requires expertise in interpreting blueprints, selecting the right tools, and ensuring that machines are set up for optimal performance.
salary: $30 - $37 per hourshift: First
work hours: 7 AM - 5:30 PM
education: High School
Responsibilities- Set up CNC lathes, including installing tools, fixtures, and offsets according to job specifications.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and job orders to determine dimensions and tolerances.
- Monitor the CNC lathe during operation to ensure accuracy and quality of parts.
- Make necessary adjustments to machine settings for efficiency and precision.
- Perform routine machine maintenance and troubleshoot any operational issues.
- Conduct inspections of finished products to ensure they meet quality standards.
- Collaborate with team members to optimize production processes.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area while adhering to all safety regulations.
