Description:
The Homeowners Insurance Process Analyst plays a critical role within the larger Operations team at TRUE. By analyzing our workflows and data, the team member will identify areas of opportunity to streamline how we work, simplify working with us, and improve both employee and customer satisfaction, all while having a keen focus on cost reduction.This role will be responsible for owning the process improvement life cycle from start to finish; from identification and ideation, designing actionable strategies, implementation, and finally the measure and monitor phase. The ideal candidate will be able to develop and maintain a backlog of initiatives and solutions and prioritize projects by measuring the impact and ROI on micro and macro scales.
This is a new role for Operations and the team member will have the empowerment to build this opportunity from the ground up, with oversight and mentoring from the VP of Operations, demonstrating our trust and respect for your expertise.
Primary Roles and Responsibilities:
Process Analysis and Improvement:
- Conduct thorough assessments of current processes and workflows to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks and areas for improvement. Provide actionable recommendations and solutions to drive improvement, optimization and member/partner satisfaction. Solutions and recommendations should be backed by qualitative and/or quantitative insights.
- Develop detailed process maps and documentation which aid in analysis, training and change management.
- Deploy solutions in a test and learn fashion that promotes small pilots with an 80/20 mindset, followed by optimization and implementation. Monitor and evaluate the performance of implemented solutions to ensure they meet business needs.
Data Collection and Reporting:
- Analyze performance metrics and insights as indicators of opportunity by identifying trends, root causes and opportunities.
- Create standardized reporting and status templates that provides easy to consume information and data that speaks to initiatives and outcomes for the broader TRUE team and senior leadership.
- Develop project plans, timelines, and resource requirements. Articulate progress against the plan at a regular cadence.
- Proactively identify risks and work to resolve or escalate to ensure that project goals and objectives are delivered on time and within scope.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful implementation of process changes and full-scale impact.
- Promote change management through regular and ongoing communication with stakeholders and end users to ensure collaboration and adoption.
- Proactively identify needs of impacted parties prior to change and build appropriate tools (trainings, communications, videos etc.) to drive seamless implementations.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to collect and interpret data in order to make data driven recommendations and measure results
- Prior experience in the property and casualty industry and homeowners’ insurance vertical required
- Proven history of promoting change with measurable results
- Ability to work cross-functionally and influence peers and co-workers to work towards common goals and outputs without direct reporting structures in place
- Effective communicator that can tailor messaging toward a targeted audience, including peers within the same team, other business units, technical co-workers, senior management as well as partners and vendors
- Strong written communication skills with the ability to document workflows, standard operating procedures, training documents and similar materials
- Big picture mindset with the ability to anticipate upstream and downstream impacts of change outside the targeted areas
- Comfortable working on multiple priorities simultaneously, where competing priorities may pause projects and shift focus as business needs shift and a sense of urgency drives throughput
- Competent in project management and process improvement methodologies such as Agile and Lean Six Sigma
- Can work independently with strong time-management, planning and organizational skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Software including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Operations Management, Data Analytics or related field
This position is remote, but we offer the opportunity to collaborate and work in an office environment in Boston, MA, or St Petersburg, FL.
