Job Description

The Project Manager - Government / Higher Ed - Northern VA will have the following responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage large-scale construction projects from start to finish, with a focus on new construction and renovation.
  • Oversee daily construction operations and ensure timely project delivery, staying within budget and meeting quality standards.
  • Manage client relationships and work with various stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and alignment of goals.
  • Maintain project documentation and ensure adherence to safety regulations and quality control processes.
  • Use Procore, P6, and Excel to track and report on project progress, budget, and timelines.

The Successful Applicant

The Project Manager - Government / Higher Ed - Northern VA will have the following qualifications:

  • 7+ years of experience in construction management, with at least one project valued at $25M or more.
  • Proven leadership as a Project Manager, managing projects from start to finish.
  • Experience in ground-up construction and renovations, preferably within the education sector.
  • A bachelor's degree in civil engineering, construction management, or a related field is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of day-to-day construction processes and skilled trades.
  • Proficiency in Procore, Primavera P6, and Excel.
  • Ability to pass a background check and obtain necessary security clearances.
  • Experience with historic preservation, scaffolding, exterior facades, and government projects is highly desirable.

  • Competitive salary based on experience up to $130,000
  • Monthly car allowance of $800
  • Annual discretionary bonus based on company performance
  • Cell phone allowance of $1,000 per year
  • Up to 15% of W-2 earnings contributed to 401(k), employee stock, and profit-sharing
  • Paid Holidays: Seven (7) paid holidays including New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving (and the day after), and Christmas Day.
