On Air Talent - K-LOVE
Overview:
Our On-Air Talent serves as the “voice” of EMF. This position is charged with personally connecting with our listeners in a positive and creative way, bringing to life EMF’s mission and vision to our audience. This position enthusiastically communicates original and creative material that develops a positive rapport with our audience and provides a compelling reason to listen.In addition, this position develops “relationships” with our audience and the community through music, inspiring stories, and “who they are” on and off air, resulting in increased listenership and commitment of our listeners.
- Lead by example and proactively influence our culture by demonstrating a positive, energetic influence throughout the ministry. Consistently represent the ministry with integrity through actions, words, and behavior that supports and aligns with our Mission and Values.
- Demonstrate the qualities of a life-time learner in the disciplines relevant to effectively perform job duties by taking personal responsibility for professional development and training
- Support and contribute to ministry endeavors by following employment policies and practices and supporting a safe and healthy work environment. Specifically, follow EMF’s Injury Prevention and Safety program, support and maintain safety standards, and participate in safety training.
- Creatively and consistently perform on-air duties for KLOVE, implementing the programming vision in an original and compelling way.
- Sincerely relate to K-LOVE’s target audience, demonstrating the ability to be concise and inform/entertain in a manner consistent with our current on-air sound and Air1’s mission and vision.
- Conduct appropriate daily show prep that consistently brings original material to the show.
- Participate as a key member of the Programming Team; positively identify, suggest, support, and implement creative ideas, concepts, and copy.
- Assist in daily production assignments including voicing, writing and producing as assigned.
- Develop and build strong relationships within the community that result in enhanced ministry visibility and brand recognition and promotional partnerships that align with and grow the target market. Participate in appropriate promotional events positively representing Air1. Examples of events and participation may be event sponsorships, speaking engagements, arrangement of testimonials, concerts in the park, contests, etc.
- Support and follow EMF policies and procedures set forth in the Employee Handbook. In addition, maintain confidentiality of all station business information.
- Maintain professional competency, knowledge and skills necessary to effectively perform job duties by taking personal responsibility for professional development and training. Regularly receive and implement coaching from KLOVE staff (Assistant Director of Programming and others).
- Provide a positive, energetic influence with the KLOVE team and throughout the ministry, maintaining a harmonious work environment within your office and with those you work with at headquarters.

We use music, people and short educational features to build relationships with our listeners through our media channels. - BS/BA degree in communications, mass media, public relations, or equivalent
- Minimum of 3 year of experience as an On-Air Talent (Major market experience preferred).
- Experience working with Christian Radio.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to develop sincere business/ministry relationships.
- Strong communication and presentation skills. Experience and skill creating a contagious enthusiasm.
- Experience developing creative and relevant content.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently; establishing and meeting performance/ministry goals.
- Must pass a pre-employment reference scree
- Proof of legal authorization to work in the United States.
