Patient Account Representative

This role offers a contract to permanent employment opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Engage in patient interactions through various modes, addressing their billing queries
• Develop compelling appeal letters for initial and secondary level appeals
• Evaluate account balances and decide upon the subsequent steps
• Assist patients with co-pay by providing necessary information, sending out packets, enrolling online, and answering their questions
• Use payer websites to monitor the status of claims and appeals
• Respond to calls from patients and clinics related to drug team queries
• Maintain an accurate inventory of high-cost drugs at each clinic
• Perform other assigned duties as needed
• Ensure proper storage of high-cost drugs at each clinic location
• Address any drug-related insurance claim denials or outstanding accounts receivable balances. • Proficient in Medical Billing procedures and protocols
• Experience with Medical Collections and managing outstanding payments
• Familiarity with NextGen healthcare technology
• Knowledge of Prescription Drug terminologies and related procedures
• Ability to handle Copays and understand related financial aspects
• Expertise in Denial Management to handle insurance claim denials effectively
• Experience with Insurance Denials and ability to resolve them efficiently
