Finance/Accounting Intern

We are looking for two finance interns for the summer of 2025, primarily located in Milwaukee, WI.
Responsibilities:
Our finance interns will support one or more of the functions below. They will assist functional staff with financial and operational improvements across locations, collaborate with team members to drive project completion, and complete and present on a summer internship project to finance leadership.
Operations Finance: Tracking Sales, Spend & Profitability for a MEC facility and reporting out to leadership on financial results/improvements
Accounting/Reporting: Assisting with accounting processes, GAAP, financial reporting and contributing to the team during month-end close and other reporting process improvements
Internal Audit: Contribute to SOX remediation, COSO framework and other audit practices to help strengthen internal reporting controlsFP&A: Help create the financial story based on monthly results, budgeting, forecasting to drive profitability improvements within the organization
Financial Systems: Drive business success within our financial systems organization that lead our plants across the country to outperform their financial commitments
Qualifications:
Job Skills Requirements- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite products. Power BI knowledge a plus
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize
- Good written and oral communication skills
- Possess the ability to interact with people in a professional manner
- Strong organizational and leadership skills
- Ability to take on a project from start to finish
- Demonstrates critical thinking, problem solving and analysis skills
- Experience with basic accounting principles, such as debits, credits, accounts receivable, accounts payable, etc
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Must be enrolled as a full-time student in an accredited college or university studying toward a bachelors/associate's degree in a finance or accounting program
- Previous internship or work experience in a related field is a plus but not required
