Morrisville - UX Researcher
Description:
CTG is seeking to fill a UX Researcher opening for our client in Morrisville, NC.
Location: Morrisville, NC (hybrid remote)Duration: 12+ months, with the possibility for extension
Duties:
- Define, plan, and execute user research activities for a variety of hardware and software products
- Conduct iterative research spanning multiple types of concurrent studies, including usability testing, concept evaluations, benchmarking, and heuristic evaluations
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to propose optimal user experiences
- Analyze research data, providing actionable insights and recommendations to guide product design
- Utilize both qualitative and quantitative research methods, including synthesizing data and statistical analysis (descriptive, inference statistics, classification, clustering)
- Present research findings clearly through storytelling and ideation, influencing internal stakeholders and global teams
- Remain current on the latest UX, HCI, and user research methodologies
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of both qualitative and quantitative research methods
- Expertise in data analysis techniques (synthesis, statistics, classification, clustering)
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Experience in delivering actionable insights to multidisciplinary teams
- Familiarity with UX research platforms and remote/online testing tools
Experience:
- 3+ years of experience conducting user research in an industry setting
- Proven track record in both evaluative and summative research methods
- Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic, and international team environment
- Experience with user research for hardware design is a plus
- Prior experience with AR/VR technologies and non-US markets is highly desirable
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in User Experience Research, Human Factors, Cognitive Psychology, Anthropology, Sociology, HCI/Computer Science, or related fields
- A Master’s degree in the same or similar disciplines is a plus

- Excellent verbal and written English communication skills
- Ability to interact professionally with a diverse group
- Self-motivated and execution-oriented
- Willingness to work within a hybrid work policy (3 days per week in the Morrisville, NC office)
