Mechanical and Process Engineer
A Mechanical and Process Engineer is needed for the world's largest food and beverage company in the Bridgewater, NJ area. The Mechanical and Process Design Engineer will support capital projects facility by designing mechanical solutions, maintaining facility layouts, and managing HVAC, water, steam, and air systems, with a focus on project execution, contractor management, and adherence to safety and quality standards.

responsibilities:
- Design mechanical solutions to improve the Nutraceutical Pilot Plant and Office Facility.
- Propose multiple solutions to existing problems and convert them into feasible engineering designs (e.g., construction drawings, P&IDs, layouts).
- Develop and maintain facilities layouts using CAD.
- Provide consultation on HVAC, water, steam, and air systems for facilities engineering projects.
- Convert engineering designs into contractor scope of work.
- Facilitate contractor bidding, select contractors, and coordinate scheduling with plant and facility management for optimal work timing.
- Proven ability to independently manage multiple capital projects simultaneously.
- strong budget management and adherence to timelines.
Skills:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to write comprehensive Scopes of Work (SOW) for various trades.
- strong presentation skills and the ability to communicate complex technical information.
- Proficiency in MS Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Advanced skills in CAD software (AutoCAD and others).
- Familiarity with project management software (MS Project).
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering or a related field.
- Experience in the food and beverage industry, particularly in R&D and pilot plant environments, is preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years in engineering project design and execution in process manufacturing and industrial environments (food or pharmaceutical manufacturing preferred).
- 10+ years of experience is preferred.
