We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for a Receptionist. The role is based in Chicago, Illinois, and is within an industry that requires strong interaction and communication skills. As a Receptionist, your role will be centered on managing a multi-line phone system, handling deliveries, and sorting incoming mail.

You will also be expected to handle sensitive and confidential documents and information, and communicate effectively with both the manager and clients on job or deadline issues.

Responsibilities:

  • Efficiently answer and transfer calls using a multi-line phone system
  • Accept and manage deliveries, and sort incoming mail appropriately
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date phone lists
  • Handle additional projects as assigned, demonstrating adaptability and multitasking skills
  • Ensure confidentiality and security when handling sensitive documents and information
  • Communicate effectively with both manager and clients, particularly regarding job or deadline issues
  • Utilize your excellent verbal and written communication skills to enhance workplace efficiency
  • Leverage your previous experience in receptionist duties, switchboard operations, and banking operations
  • Be prepared to handle tasks related to hiring processes and understand the perks of the role
  • Exhibit strong phone presence and ability to manage transfer calls effectively. • Proficiency in operating multi-line phone systems and switchboard operations
  • Ability to transfer calls effectively and efficiently
  • Strong written communication skills
  • Familiarity with receptionist duties including answering calls, greeting visitors, and managing deliveries
  • Capacity to handle and sort incoming mail accurately
  • Understanding of banking operations and procedures
  • Experience in handling confidential documents with discretion
  • Ability to provide excellent customer service and explain company perks to clients and employees
  • Strong telephonic presence and communication skills
  • Familiarity with hiring processes and protocols
  • Capability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively.
