Cash Application Specialist

We are offering a contract for a permanent position as a Cash Application Specialist in the healthcare insurance industry, located in Tempe, Arizona. In this role, you will be primarily responsible for handling cash activity, managing accounts receivable, executing billing functions, and utilizing Microsoft Excel to maintain and update customer records.

• Accurately process customer credit applications in a timely manner
• Keep precise records of customer credit details
• Address customer inquiries and resolve any issues that may arise
• Consistently monitor customer accounts and take necessary action when needed
• Perform billing functions with accuracy and efficiency
• Handle cash activities and ensure all transactions are completed correctly
• Utilize Microsoft Excel to update and maintain customer records
• Work in a collaborative team environment to achieve departmental goals and objectives
• Ensure all tasks are completed in compliance with industry standards and guidelines
• Strive to enhance customer service and satisfaction through efficient and effective cash application processes. • Must have a minimum of 2 years of experience as a Cash Application Specialist or in a similar role.
• Proven experience with Accounts Receivable (AR) is required.
• Should have strong skills in Billing Functions, preferably within a comparable industry.
• Experience in managing Cash Activity is important.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is a must, including knowledge of advanced functions.
• The ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in work.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and analytical skills.
• Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information responsibly.
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field is preferred.
