JOB INFORMATION:

Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Clinical Assistant - Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team our Murray Operations Division. In this position, you are responsible for providing telephonic sleep coaching for CPAP equipment/supplies, non- invasive ventilation and requires a basic understanding of the equipment/supplies required for adult invasive ventilation.

• Communication of needed adult invasive ventilator replacement supplies to the designated Customer Service Representative who will qualify, ticket and verify that supply orders are shipped
• Complete remote mask refits as requested
• Ensure that we are ordering the correct trach/inner cannula prescribed by the physician and that a copy of the prescription is available in the patient’s file/emr before placing the order
• Phone follow up with caregivers and or home health nurses regarding routinely replaced supplies for adult invasive ventilators, trach care, suction supplies and prescribed trach tubes and inner cannulas
• Place trach/inner cannula replacement orders with outside vendor for direct shipment to patients home
• Provide education if needed regarding the monthly or 90 day supplies that are allowed by insurance
• Provide education if needed regarding the types of supplies (formulary) that are available through the Rotech Adult Invasive Vent Resupply program to caregivers, home health nurses and location employees
• Provides basic coaching for PAP therapy and non- invasive ventilator patients who are adjusting to the use of their equipment, having issues with their interface or need a mask refit
• Understand the basic insurance guidelines related to PAP and Home Ventilation therapies and supplies
• Performs other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Background investigation (company-wide)
• Drug screen (when applicable for the position)
• Valid driver’s license in state of residence with a clean driving record (when applicable for the position)

• High school diploma or GED equivalent, required
• Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) credentials
• Relate-able experience in a hospital, nursing home, medical office or home medical equipment environment

• Accurately perform simple mathematical calculations
• Deductive problem solving skills
• Effectively communicate in English; both oral and written
• Interpret a variety of communications (verbal, non-verbal, written, listening and visual)
• Knowledge of Durable Medical Equipment (DME) or Home Medical Equipment (HME)
• Maintain confidentiality, discretion and caution when handling sensitive information
• Multi-task along with attention to detail
• Self-motivation, organized, time-management and deductive problem solving skills
• Work independently and as part of a team

• Work from home at times
• Lift and carry office equipment at times
• Requires sitting, walking, standing, talking or listening
• Requires close vision to small print on computer / tablet and or paperwork
• Understands use of all applicable home respiratory equipment and supplies

• Basic computer skills in work processing (e.g. Word), spreadsheets (e.g. Excel), web browser (e.g. Internet Explorer and Google) and e-mail (e.g. Zimbra)
