Accounting Manager/Supervisor

You'll be leading a team and reporting to the director of financial reporting, with a focus on utilizing various accounting software systems.

Responsibilities:

• Overseeing and managing accounting for plant operations, benefits, and payroll
• Supervising a team to ensure efficient operation of accounting procedures
• Reporting to the director of financial reporting on a regular basis
• Writing and reviewing technical memos to communicate important information
• Utilizing Accounting Software Systems, ADP
• Financial Services, BlackLine, Concur, and ERP
• Enterprise Resource Planning in daily tasks
• Managing accounting functions including Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Auditing, and Billing Functions
• Ensuring the use of proper accounting practices in line with industry standards
• Guiding and mentoring team members to facilitate their detail oriented development
• Regularly reviewing and updating accounting practices and policies for efficiency
• Monitoring customer accounts and taking appropriate action when necessary.
• A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or relevant field.
• Proven experience as an Accounting Manager or Supervisor in the Energy/Natural Resources industry
• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems
• Knowledgeable in ADP
• Financial Services
• Familiarity with BlackLine, Concur, and ERP
• Enterprise Resource Planning systems
• Extensive understanding of Accounting Functions, including Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Experience in executing Auditing procedures
• Ability to manage Billing Functions effectively
• Strong organizational and leadership skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• A problem-solving mindset with attention to detail
