Billing Specialist

Overview:

With more than 3,000 eye doctors referring their patients and trusting their own eyes to NVISION surgeons, NVISION Eye Centers is the Eye Doctors' #1 Choice®.

This position is responsible for ensuring accuracy in demographic and charge entry for the purpose of driving clean claim submissions. The Biller is highly attentive to detail, organized, process-driven, collaborative, and possesses strong time management skills.

Responsibilities:

Core duties and responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

• Timely entry and accurate review of charges entered into the practice management system prior to sending out medical claims
• Prompt submission of charges to insurance carrier via electronic claim submission or paper claim form
• Actively working denied/rejected claims as assigned
• Daily reconciliation of superbills and pending charges
• Properly route escalations and follow-through on open issues until achieving resolution
• Achieve goals set forth by management regarding error-free work, transactions, processes, and compliance requirements
• Responsible for quality audits
• Void charges as needed

Qualifications:

• Experience with physician billing
• 3+ years of success in medical billing and/or collections
• Intermediate level experience with Microsoft Word and MS Excel
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• NextGen experience preferred
• Exceptional people skills

Min: USD $22.00/Hr.

Max: USD $28.00/Hr.
