We are offering a contract for an Accounts Payable Specialist position in SYCAMORE, Illinois. You will join our team in the manufacturing industry, where you will be responsible for managing our accounts payable and ensuring that all financial transactions are processed accurately.

Responsibilities:

• Accurately process a high volume of invoices and payments to vendors for goods and services
• Ensure accurate accounting for all accounts payable liabilities
• Resolve any discrepancies between purchase orders, invoices, or payments
• Monitor accounts payable aging reports and settle outstanding invoices in a timely manner
• Work closely with purchasing and receiving teams to resolve issues and ensure timely payment of invoices
• Review and process new supplier forms, ensuring all setups are accurate and complete
• Collaborate with accounting team to reconcile accounts payable, post journal entries, and prepare monthly reports
• Review, audit, and process travel expense reports and Purchase Card activity
• Provide support to other members of the accounting department as needed
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of company policies, internal controls, processes, and procedures. • Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems
• Familiarity with Great Plains (GPAC)
• Experience with IBM AS/400
• Knowledge of JD Edwards EnterpriseOne
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel
• Understanding of comprehensive Accounting Functions
• Experience in handling Accounts Payable (AP)
• Ability to manage Check Processing tasks
• Solid Data Entry skills
• Ability to handle and resolve Discrepancy issues
