The Project Coordinator (PjC) works within the Program Management Office supporting product development and supply chain projects from concept to delivery. The project coordinator works closely with the program managers throughout the project lifecycle, coordinating project schedules, supporting execution teams with estimates, and providing project reports.

Job Duties -
  1. Works with cross functional teams in the execution of projects from ideation to customer availability that meet or exceed customer and business expectations.

-Must be a self-starter and flexible, capable of quickly adapting to changes, taking minimal

requirements and executing to achieve acceptable customer and business results.
  • Must be able to focus and motivate others by leading thru influence not direct reporting.
  • Coordinate activities between the internal and external project resources for the deployment of products and projects
  • Assist with team planning, meeting agendas, and daily and/or weekly status meetings, generation and ongoing maintenance of program framework, project schedules, identification of issues and risk management, including follow through to resolution, and change management.
  1. Creates an environment that fosters collaboration and teaming with other functions focusing on meeting customer/business expectations.
  • Must be open and easy to communicate with, ability to instill trust.
  • Must be capable of facilitating decision making
  • Must have good mediation skills (conflict management)
  1. Executes and implements processes and procedures that produce predictable results which minimize cycle time, on-going maintenance while maintaining high quality standards.
  • Must have the ability to document and maintain processes and procedures while being open to improvements. Processes should be guidelines which provide a baseline for execution and can also be adapted to meet objectives.
  • Must be able to communicate purpose behind process/procedure.
  • Use metrics to demonstrate the value provided by the process/procedure

Job Requirements -

Management/Organization Skills
  • The product development team is global, and the project manager must be able to effectively manage and facilitate communication between remote teams.
  • Networking, influence and vision are critical to project success. Success is measured by the output of the team, not the individual output.
  • Able to manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously, responsible for support program reviews and is able to report progress during implementation. Follows standard practices and procedures for reporting and analyzing situations or data from which decisions can be made quickly.
Position Requirements
  • Product development experience in engineering or computer science preferred. Specific position will be working with supply chain, logistics and planning, and product development teams.
  • Project Management experience of 2+ years; Project Management Professional certification is a plus.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Project and MS Project Server.
  • Must have a working knowledge of Excel, Word, Confluence, Jira, and SharePoint to provide visibility to the project as well as organization.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely status and issues regarding projects.
  • Broad knowledge and flexibility with multiple processes; ability to develop and execute new processes. Ability to execute in a waterfall, agile and scrum environment, often concurrently. Feature based development process experience is a plus.
  • Must have the proven ability to produce, document and maintain team deliverables such as Schedules, Weekly meetings, Risk/Issues.
Team And People Skills
  • Able to effectively lead cross functional teams whose members are not direct reports, including Product Development, Supply Chain, 3rd Party Alliances, Marketing and Product Line Management.
  • Understands specific roles within the team and maintains both personal focus and group vision. Helps teammates achieve goals without sacrificing own responsibilities.
  • Must be able to gain respect of team members and serve as the representative for the team.
  • Must be able to motivate, instill trust and confidence, and build collaborative teams that see opportunities and capitalizes on them.

Desired Skills & Experience -

Product development experience in engineering or computer science preferred.

Project Management Professional certification is a plus.

Feature based development process experience is a plus.
