Job Description
  • Project Management: Overseeing rail construction projects from planning to completion, ensuring timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met.
  • Site Supervision: Managing daily operations on construction sites, ensuring safety protocols are followed and that work is executed according to specifications.
  • Quality Control: Conducting inspections and assessments to maintain high standards of workmanship and compliance with regulations.
  • Coordination: Collaborating with engineers, contractors, and local authorities to facilitate smooth project execution and address any issues that arise.
  • Budget Management: Monitoring project expenditures, managing resources efficiently, and providing cost estimates for new projects.
  • Safety Compliance: Implementing and enforcing safety measures to protect workers and minimize risks on the job site.
  • Communication: Keeping stakeholders informed about project progress, challenges, and changes, ensuring transparency and alignment with goals.
  • Training and Development: Providing training for staff on equipment operation, safety practices, and industry standards to enhance team capabilities

The Successful Applicant
  • Relevant Experience: 4-10 year experience as a construction project manager preferably in the rail industry
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in construction methods, safety regulations, and equipment operation relevant to rail projects.
  • Leadership Abilities: Strong leadership and team management skills to effectively supervise crews and coordinate with various stakeholders.
  • Problem-Solving Aptitude: The ability to identify issues quickly and develop practical solutions to keep projects on track.
  • Attention to Detail: A meticulous approach to ensuring quality control and adherence to safety and regulatory standards.
  • Strong Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to facilitate collaboration among team members, clients, and authorities.
  • Project Management Skills: Experience with budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation, ensuring efficient project delivery.
  • Adaptability: A willingness to adapt to changing project requirements and environments, with a proactive approach to challenges.
  • Safety Orientation: A strong commitment to safety practices, ensuring the well-being of all team members on-site
