The Role
As the Corporate Controller of Finance, you'll be the problem-solving genius we're seeking to conquer complex operational and accounting challenges. You'll craft financial tools like models, budgets, cashflow projections, and operational reports, and keep them sharp and up-to-date.We encourage open communication with our leadership and investors through quarterly readouts. You'll also be responsible for supervising and reviewing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports. Keeping the financial integrity intact, you'll prepare financial statements and other reports that shine.
We count on you to keep our financial engine running smoothly by supporting daily reporting, weekly cashflow forecasting, monthly variance analysis, and any ad hoc financial exploration as required. You'll be our liaison to investors when it comes to financial matters.Managing payables, receivables, client invoicing, A/R aging, and other operational tasks will be part of your daily routine. Our QuickBooks will be your playground, and you'll make sure it stays in order with monthly reconciliations.
Don't worry about the payroll; we've got you covered. You'll process semi-monthly payroll and ensure payroll taxes are handled seamlessly by our trusted processor. Employee happiness is a priority for us. You'll lead the charge in managing our company benefits program to ensure our team enjoys the best and most cost-efficient perks.
As the guardian of our finances, you'll work closely with an external tax firm to audit and assist in filing company tax forms, including those pesky 1099s. Managing contracts, maintaining workers' compensation insurance, and ensuring compliance across all states where we operate will also be your responsibility.
What We're Looking For
A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting or Finance
A CPA designation is highly desirable
Your keen attention to detail
A strong background with 7+ years of experience as a Controller or in a similar role
Expertise in payroll, general ledger, A/P, and A/R functions
Thorough knowledge of accounting principles, procedures, and functions
