[ref. u09048500] Equipment Safety Advisor
Manufacturer in the Maumee area is seeking an Equipment Safety Advisor to add to their team. The ideal candidate will have a B.S. in Engineering or Safety and at least 3 years of safety or safety systems experience and risk management. Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and diagrams required.
This position deals with safety of equipment and systems made for customers; not plant safety. Some travel required, about 15%.
All candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future.

responsibilities:
- Ensure the safety and compliance of the company's systems, equipment, and processes, at customer sites
- Identify and assess risks and hazards and guide the design and operation of safe, efficient systems
- Develop and execute testing protocols and validation procedures to evaluate safety performance
- Maintain records of safety assessments, test results, and compliance documentation
- Support incident investigations with customers to identify and determine root causes and drive corrective actions
- Work across all integrated product teams and lines to properly eliminate hazards or provide effective controls.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Safety or similar
- TUV2T certification preferred
- Experience with risk assessments
- Familiarity with OSHA/ISO regulations
- Ability to complete savety validation reports
- At least 3 years of experience in safety engineering or safety assessments
- Excellent problem solving skills and risk management experience
- Proficiency reading and interpreting electrical schematics required
- AutoCAD LT experience a plus
- Ability to travel to customer sites, about 15%
