Oncology Nurse Data Abstractor - Los Angeles
Overview:The Oncology Data Abstractor is a data management expert who collects and analyzes medical data from cancer patients. They work remotely and abstract data from electronic medical records (EMR).
Responsibilities:-Collect and maintain cancer data from a variety of sources-Ensure data is accurate, complete, and timely-Abstract data from medical records for cancer, women's health, and rare diseases-Provide regular reports on patients and abstracted data-Maintain quality and productivity standards-Code data in compliance with established data standards
Basic education, experience and skills required for consideration:
-Associate degree in a healthcare related major-Two (2) years of clinical oncology experience as a clinical research professional, abstract writer, or similar experience-Must have strong Oncology experience-Strong attention to detail-Ability to work independently-High sense of urgency to meet deadlines-Excellent written and verbal communication-Work collaboratively across cross-functional teams and entities-Excellent organizational skills-Prioritize and perform multiple tasks simultaneously-Excellent interpersonal skills-Ability to adjust to rapidly changing environment
Preferred education experience and skills:-Bachelor's degree in a healthcare related major-Certified Clinical Research Professional (CCRP)-Experience in oncologic nursing preferred.
