Electrical Engineer I

Local industrial company is looking for Electrical Engineer to join their team! In this role you will provide electrical engineering design support for power plant design, substations and equipment including component selection, design integration, fabrication, and operation.

• Engineering support for shop and field service personnel as requested and prepare design solutions as needed.
• Collaborate with Lead PE for shop project questions to streamline communications, keep shop projects moving forward, and build your knowledgebase.
• Develop one-line, three-line, and schematic drawings.
• Prepare electrical equipment specifications.
• Create effective process documents and checklists.
• Sizing/selecting components including breakers, fuses, cables, and wiring.
• Collaborate with technical departments to create standard processes and checklists for common shop and field tasks and practices.
• Sales team support for customer questions and meetings when needed.
