Accounts Receivable Clerk

We are offering a long term contract employment opportunity for an Accounts Receivable Clerk to join our team in the retail industry, located in South Bay, California. As an Accounts Receivable Clerk, you will be responsible for handling customer credit applications, maintaining accurate customer credit records, and managing customer inquiries.

• Efficiently process customer credit applications.
• Ensure the accuracy of customer credit records.
• Address customer inquiries in a timely and detail-oriented manner.
• Monitor customer accounts and take necessary actions.
• Execute AR billings and cash applications.
• Prepare and provide statements of account.
• Utilize Microsoft Excel and Word extensively in day-to-day tasks.
• Provide customer service as needed.
• Manage tasks related to export finance and shipping, when required.

• Proven experience in Accounts Receivable or similar role in the retail industry
• Proficient in account reconciliation and cash collections
• Demonstrable skills in accounts receivable (AR) and billing procedures
• Solid understanding of cash applications
• Experience with commercial collections is necessary
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required
• Previous experience with Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP is highly desirable
• Excellent numerical, analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information responsibly
• High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field is a plus
