Part - Time Production Operator

Qualifications:

Requires a high school diploma or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Entry Level. Previous experience in assisting with Superjet operations preferred.

Able to work flexible hours and over-time when required. Reasonably available to attend off-shift training when required.

Job Description:

Allied Air in Orangeburg has Part-Time opportunities for Production Operators. Part-time positions have flexibility in the day(s) or night(s) scheduled to work. The minimum requirement is at least 1 day per week.

The majority of positions will be Assembler II for 1st and 3rd shift. Under direct supervision, Assemblers are expected to work on various stations, and various production lines to assemble units within routine and repetitive operations. Duties include, but are not limited to:

• Uses various hand and power tools and operates equipment such as jigs, dies, fixtures, templates, punch presses, riveting machines, circular shears, or drill presses to cut, file, fit, punch, ream, rivet, form, and/or assemble.
• Obtains raw materials, loads, and operates equipment to produce the finished product.
• Fits, aligns, calibrates, and adjusts parts and mechanisms to meet tolerances and product requirements.

• Willingness to work in a variety of stations on any production line as directed

• Ability to analyze and troubleshoot problems in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to work both independently and in a team environment

Additional Requirements:

• Able to remain in a stationary position for extended periods
• Able to stand 100% of the workday
• Ability to lift, push, pull, and move up to 40 pounds frequently
• Must be able to bend, stoop, twist, and reach in all directions frequently
• Able to work flexible hours and overtime when required
• Assembly workers may be required to braze if needed by production- this would also require successful completion of braze training and certification
