Job Description

The Construction Administrator's key responsibilities and duties include:

  • Review documents for constructability and coordination issues
  • Assist the Design Team with value engineering/cost saving recommendations
  • Conduct or assist PA with pre-bid conference
  • Review contractor's Construction Schedule with PA
  • Prepare construction administration related paperwork including, but not limited to, Architect's Supplemental Instructions (ASI); Response to Request for Information (RRFI); Proposal Requests (PR); Response to Change Order Proposal (RCOP); Construction Change Directives (CCD)
  • Problem solve, communicate, and coordinate any issues during construction administration with Project Team members as required
  • Monitor and track turn-around time of submittals, RFI's, PCO's, etc.
  • Review submittals and shop drawings
  • Construction site observation; prepare field observation reports, as required
  • Attend Building Committee/Owner meetings when required
  • Assist PA with project closeout

The Successful Applicant

The Construction Administrator should have:

  • 5+ years of proven construction administration
  • Experience working on public/municipal projects (preferred)
  • Experiece with Revit and AutoCAD
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Commutable to either Boston, Foxborough or Hartford, CT
