Accounts Payable Specialist - Robert Half

We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for an Accounts Payable Specialist in the construction/contractor industry located in Paramount, California. The individual will play a critical role in managing payables, providing administrative support, and ensuring compliance with operational needs.

Responsibilities:

• Accurately processing invoices, purchase orders, and payments.
• Handling subcontractor management including obtaining, verifying, and processing conditional and unconditional lien releases.
• Reviewing lien releases and ensuring compliance with project and payment requirements.
• Preparing month-end close reports, including aging summaries and account reconciliations.
• Using advanced Excel skills to analyze Accounts Payable data, create reports, and provide insights into expense trends and payables status.
• Assisting with various office and administrative tasks, supporting finance and operations teams as needed.
• Using Sage 300 for managing invoice entries, purchase orders, and payments.
• Ensuring all customer credit records are accurate and up-to-date.
• Monitoring customer accounts and taking appropriate action.
• Processing customer credit applications accurately and efficiently.

• Proficiency in account coding is required.
• Familiarity with accounting software systems is essential.
• Experience with ADP - Financial Services is preferred.
• Knowledge of Concur software will be advantageous.
• Understanding of ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning systems is needed.
• Ability to manage various accounting functions effectively.
• Demonstrated experience in Accounts Payable (AP).
• Proficiency in accrual accounting is necessary.
• Ability to perform auditing tasks effectively.
• Experience with Automated Clearing House (ACH) is preferred.
