Randstad - Senior Construction Estimator
Position Overview: We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Construction Estimator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for various construction projects, ensuring all aspects are accounted for, including labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor costs. This individual will work closely with project managers, engineers, and clients to develop budgets, manage bids, and contribute to the success of the organization. Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience as a construction estimator, preferably in commercial or industrial projects.
- Proficiency in estimating software such as Bluebeam, PlanSwift, or similar tools.
- strong understanding of construction processes, materials, and methods.
- Excellent analytical and mathematical skills, with high attention to detail.
- Exceptional communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to manage multiple estimates simultaneously under tight deadlines.
- Certification in construction estimating (e.g., AACE, ASPE) is a plus.

Responsibilities- Develop Accurate Estimates: Analyze project specifications, blueprints, and other documentation to prepare detailed cost estimates.
- Conduct Quantity Takeoffs: Calculate materials, labor, and equipment needed for each project phase.
- Collaborate with Teams: Work with architects, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers to gather information and ensure alignment on project requirements.
- Bid Preparation: Prepare and submit competitive and comprehensive bid proposals for review and approval.
- Cost Analysis: Evaluate historical data and industry trends to improve accuracy in cost forecasting.
- Vendor Management: Solicit and review quotes from subcontractors and suppliers to ensure competitive pricing and compliance with project requirements.
- Project Scheduling: Assist in creating project timelines and schedules based on cost estimation insights.
- Risk Assessment: Identify and evaluate potential risks associated with project costs and timelines.
- Reporting: Maintain detailed records of estimates and provide regular updates to management on project cost performance.
