Senior QA Engineer

We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Senior QA Engineer in the tech industry, located in Fairfield County, Connecticut. This role will involve a range of responsibilities, primarily focused on software testing, collaboration, process improvement, and mentoring.
Responsibilities:
- Design, create, and execute both manual and automated test cases for software functionality and performance validation.
- Develop and maintain automated test scripts using tools such as Selenium.
- Perform API Testing and Database Validation, including creating and executing test suites in Postman for API endpoints and using SQL queries for data-centric scenarios.
- Collaborate effectively with developers, product owners, and other QA team members to ensure quality and efficiency.
- Develop acceptance tests based on product owner requirements and identify quality issues promptly.
- Drive continuous improvement in testing processes and expand automation capabilities to facilitate integration of automated tests into the CI/CD pipeline.
- Act as a mentor to junior QA engineers, advocating for quality and implementing QA standards across the organization.
- Establish and promote best practices for testing and automation within the team.
- Proven experience as a Senior QA Engineer or similar role in software development
- Proficiency in Android Development
- Extensive experience with Atlassian Jira
- Demonstrated ability in Bug Tracking
- Advanced knowledge of Integration Testing
- Proficiency in Jenkins for continuous integration
- Familiarity with Agile Scrum methodologies and practices
- Experience in API Testing, including REST and SOAP APIs
- Proficiency in implementing Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery (CICD) pipelines
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with a team
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field.
