We are pleased to present an opportunity for a Diagnostic Radiologist in the picturesque Finger Lakes region of New York. This prestigious role involves engagement with advanced diagnostic imaging modalities within a sophisticated medical environment, contributing to a tradition of excellence in patient care.

Well-established private radiology group providing imaging services at Finger Lakes Health, including two hospitals, an outpatient womens department, and two urgent care centers.

We have a solid and exclusive provider agreement with Finger Lakes Health and independently own and run the MRI department.

Weekday (M-F) coverage onsite or remotely from 8:00 am-5:00 pm

Night service provides preliminary reads on weekdays from 10:00 pm-8:00 am daily for all modalities

Weekday call is 5:00 pm10:00 pm for cross-sectional imaging only

Saturday and Sunday call is 8:00 am-6:00 pm, then back up to night service

Calls are rotated equally from day one

Calls are taken from home

Responsibilities

Conduct and interpret advanced imaging studies, including CT, MRI, and ultrasound, with meticulous attention to diagnostic detail.

Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to correlate radiologic findings with clinical and laboratory data for optimal patient care.

Uphold stringent adherence to safety protocols and regulatory standards in the use of radiologic equipment and procedures.

Engage in continuous professional development to maintain proficiency in emerging imaging technologies and methodologies.

Provide comprehensive consultative support to referring physicians, ensuring clear and timely communication of diagnostic outcomes.

Contribute to the advancement of departmental quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives.

Participate in academic and clinical research endeavors that promote innovation within the Finger Lakes healthcare community.

Qualifications

Possesses an MD or DO degree with specialized residency training in Diagnostic Radiology.

Maintains board certification by the American Board of Radiology and holds an active medical license in New York.

Demonstrates proficiency in imaging modalities including MRI, CT, ultrasound, and nuclear medicine.

Upholds rigorous standards of patient safety, clinical excellence, and adherence to evidence-based practices.

Engages in continuous professional development and research to stay abreast of emerging radiological innovations.

Collaborates effectively within multidisciplinary teams in both academic and community healthcare settings.

Embraces the cultural and environmental richness of the Finger Lakes region, enhancing community-centered care.

Proficient in X-ray, CT, MRI, ultrasound & basic NM. Being skilled or trained in mammography is a plus (if an on-site position is accepted). No mammography coverage is required for a remote position
