Your Impact:-Lead and inspire a team of nurses and healthcare staff, fostering a culture of excellence and compassion-Coordinate care for a diverse population, addressing complex health needs with empathy and skill-Drive quality improvement initiatives, ensuring adherence to national healthcare standards-Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to enhance patient outcomes and staff satisfaction-Shape policies and procedures that elevate the standard of correctional healthcare-Manage and supervise nursing staff, including hiring, training, and performance evaluations-Plan, prioritize, assign, and review the work of healthcare staff involved in direct care of AICs-Develop and implement nursing care plans in collaboration with healthcare providers-Ensure compliance with all healthcare regulations, standards, and department policies (including NCCHC, HIPAA, OSHA, CLIA, ONA, Local 88)-Oversee patient admissions, discharges, and transfers-Monitor patient progress and make recommendations for adjustments in care plans-Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes-Maintain accurate medical records and documentation-Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care-Coach, counsel, and discipline direct reports on performance-Conduct staff meetings and hold one-on-one conversations with team members-Participate in budget preparation and administration-Answer questions and provide information to the public-Accept on-call responsibilities as needed

Your Expertise:-Active Registered Nurse license in Oregon-1-4 years of relevant nursing experience-BLS/CPR certification-Strong leadership and communication skills-Passion for public health and serving diverse populations-The role involves participating in the services of Corrections Health, not just supervising.-Reviewing staff documentation-Ensuring compliance with specific standards (NCCHC, HIPAA, OSHA, CLIA, ONA, Local 88)-Participating in budget preparation and administration-Preparing memos, letters, reports, notices, forms, and procedural guidelines

Additional nice to have Qualifications:-Experience in corrections or public health nursing-Strong leadership and communication skills-Ability to work independently and in an interdisciplinary setting-Experience providing services to diverse and vulnerable communities
