As the Youth Advocate Team Lead, you will provide leadership and support to Youth Advocate Staff in all areas related to gaining and/or retaining employment and career advancement, while ensuring outstanding customer service to program participants.

Responsibilities:
Successful Elements:
- Manage and report on the internal referral process
- Provide functional leadership to EDSI Youth Advocates
- Build professional one-on-one working relationships with participants to assist in eliminating challenges that are hindrances to obtaining and retaining employment
- Provide referrals to appropriate community service or social service agencies when needed
- Provide guidance and support for Youth Advocates to ensure positive outcomes and weekly performance goals are met
- Facilitate weekly meetings with the Youth Advocates to ensure that the best practices are being used and to discuss improvements/goals
- Provide consistent and comprehensive case management and follow-up per local area policy
- Work with the leadership team on implementing processes that increase customer engagement, work-based learning opportunities and
- Coordinate participant retention services and accommodate participant work schedules
- Provide new employee training for Youth Advocates
- Provide feedback to Performance Analyst regarding trends and potential problems with meeting performance
- May provide case management and follow up
- Other opportunities as available
Qualifications:
Required Experience:
- Three to five years of professional experience of career counseling/customer service experience
- Ability to prioritize tasks and strong organizational skills
- Problem solving skills and ability to work in a team environment
- Demonstrated telephone, computer, and written communication skills
- Ability to maintain flexibility as needs of contract or contractor require
- Proficient in Microsoft Office programs
- Valid driver’s license required
Required Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
