[ref. k265017] Electronics Lab Soldering Technician - Round Lake
Are you an expert in fine-pitch soldering and electronics testing? We're looking for a skilled Electronics Lab Soldering Technician to support electrical R&D lab work, PCB rework, and testing of innovative electromechanical medical devices. salary: $19.50 - 21.00 per hour
work hours: 8am to 4pm

responsibilities:
- Perform precision soldering, reflow, and rework on SMT components (as small as 0201, 0.5mm pitch, and BGA).
- Execute electrical test procedures at both the system and board levels.
- Operate and monitor test equipment such as oscilloscopes, DMMs, power supplies, and electronic loads.
- Assist in lab organization, equipment maintenance, and documentation of test results.
- Work closely with engineers and lab staff to support product development and troubleshooting.
- Follow safe working procedures and best practices for electrical testing and PCB rework.
Requirements:
- 3+ years of experience in fine-pitch SMT soldering, reflow, and PCB rework.
- 1+ years of experience executing electronics testing using industry-standard equipment.
- solid attention to detail, organization, and recordkeeping for lab documentation.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ability to maintain accurate test records.
- Ability to follow technical instructions and collaborate with engineers on product testing.
- High School Diploma or equivalent (BS Degree preferred).
- Basic computer skills for data entry, reporting, and documentation.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with Altium or other PCB layout tools for viewing circuit connections and component placement.
- Familiarity with automated testing procedures and basic data analysis.
- solid problem-solving abilities and ability to support root cause analysis.
