Responsibilities:

Pre-Production
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to determine project objectives, target audience, and messaging.
  • Develop concepts, scripts, and storyboards for video projects.
  • Plan and organize video shoots, including scouting locations, casting talent, and coordinating shoot schedules.
  • Prepare timelines for each project, ensuring resources are allocated efficiently.
  • Secure necessary equipment and crew for shoots.
Production:
  • Oversee the video shoot, directing talent and crew to achieve the desired creative vision.
  • Operate video cameras, lighting, and audio equipment, ensuring technical quality during filming.
  • Troubleshoot any technical or logistical challenges during the shoot.
Post-Production:
  • Edit raw footage into polished, cohesive video content using software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or DaVinci Resolve.
  • Add graphics, animations, sound effects, music, and voiceovers as needed.
  • Color correction and audio balancing to enhance the video’s quality.
  • Review and revise edits based on feedback from stakeholders or clients.
  • Export final video files in the appropriate format for the platform.
  • Archive and manage digital assets including footage, project files, and final videos.
Project Management:
  • Maintain clear communication with clients and team members throughout the project.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
  • Ensure all content adheres to brand guidelines and quality standards.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, techniques, and new video production tools.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Public Health, Film, Media Production, Communications, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Proven experience (2 years) as a video producer and editor with a portfolio showcasing a range of projects.
  • Proficiency with video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve, After Effects).
  • Strong understanding of camera operation, lighting, and sound recording.
  • Excellent storytelling, creative direction, and project management skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with motion graphics or animation.
  • Familiarity with color grading and advanced sound design techniques.
  • Experience supporting federal or state government agencies, particularly public-health-focused agencies such as the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).

Pay Range: USD $70,000.00 - USD $80,000.00 /Yr.
