Senior Solutions Advisor

Summary of Duties: Be part of the Field Engineering team within Fraud and Security Intelligence, which focuses on delivering SAS fraud detection solutions across the world. Develop and support solutions and the tooling for the development of solutions for identifying and investigating fraud.
Use entity resolution to help win and increase the value of software deals related to fraud, abuse, financial crime or public security in government, financial services or healthcare. Work with the latest analytical techniques and help develop new analytic intellectual property for both SAS and its clients.
Use the latest SAS Viya software stack including in memory data analytics and cloud technologies. Provide technical leadership on the development of solutions and solution development tools within the team. Analyze the requirements of a solution component and work closely with customers, R&D and team members to ensure consistency and reusability of output.
Lead on integration of entity resolution and network analytics into the solutions we provide, providing subject matter expertise and working with other teams within SAS and directly with customers. Leverage detailed technical knowledge to support sales opportunities and implementations across solution domains including proof of concept and solution demonstrations.
Analyze the requirements of a solution component and work closely with customers, team members, product management, and research and development to help improve the reusable offerings the team provides. Design and develop innovative solutions to business requirements in alignment with product architecture, and established development practices and timelines.

Understand, utilize and communicate best practice methodologies and industry standards internally and externally. Contribute to detailed technical documentation as required, such as requirements, design, administration and user guides. May work remotely pursuant to SAS' Flexible Work Program.

Qualifications: Position requires a Master’s degree in Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science or related field plus four (4) years of experience in the job offered or four (4) years of experience as a Software Engineer, Technical Consultant, or related occupation.

Alternatively, the employer will accept a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science, or related field and six (6) years of experience in the job offered or six (6) years of experience as a Software Engineer, Technical Consultant, or related occupation.

Requires experience in software development using Object Orientated or Functional languages or experience of using SAS for analytical solution delivery. Requires data engineering experience using SQL on an established RDBMS such as Oracle, Postgres, and SQL Server.
Requires experience using software development tools such as version control (e.g. Git) and task management (e.g. Jira). Requires experience providing leadership to a team of developers or data engineers. Requires experience with SAS coding language, Web development, Kubernetes, Kafka, and SQL.

Requires data engineering skills and experience in both batch and real-time. Requires deep knowledge of entity resolution and how to integrate it into an operational system. May work remotely pursuant to SAS’ Flexible Work Program.
