Responsibilities:
Under supervision, performs a variety of Grounds maintenance and repair functions including but not limited to: litter pick up, cultivating, trimming of shrubs and small trees, fertilizing, planting and irrigation repairs. Operates grounds power tools and machinery.

The expected pay range for this recruitment is $23.22 (hourly)
Required:
- Ability to identify undesirable plant material.
- Demonstrate knowledge of commonly used Southern California plant material, their cultural requirements, pests and diseases.
- Ability to follow through and carry out assignments.
- Skill to safely use both hand and power tools and equipment.
- Apply problem solving skills and use sound judgment.
- Ability to effectively communicate orally, in writing or electronically.
- Knowledge and skill to operate commonly used grounds equipment and tools.
- Skill in operating trenchers, tractors, roto-tillers and other commonly used pieces of power driven grounds equipment.
- Ability to effectively work independently or in teams.
- Knowledge and ability to maintain irrigation systems.
Special Conditions:
- This position requires a valid California Drivers license.
- Must participate in the DMV Pull Notice Program.
- Must be able to drive a Facilities Management vehicle.
- Must be able to wear PPE.
