As a Sales Engineer, you’ll be at the crossroads of technology, engineering, and sales, acting as the technical expert and trusted advisor for our SaaS solutions. You’ll partner closely with our sales team to showcase the technical capabilities and value of SynaptiQ, guiding customers through their buying journey and ensuring they see how our solutions meet their unique needs.

This is a dynamic role where you’ll collaborate with Sales, Operations, and Product Management teams to deliver customized solutions, capture customer feedback, and contribute to product innovation. You’ll thrive in a fast-paced environment where your technical expertise and commercial savvy come together to make an impact.

What you’ll do:

  • Customer Engagement:
  • Understand customer challenges and articulate the value of our SaaS solutions, driving technical buy-in throughout the sales cycle.
  • Demonstrations & Proofs of Concept:
  • Deliver compelling product demos and proofs of concept tailored to customer needs.
  • Technical Consulting:
  • Gather and analyze customer use cases, aligning them with SynaptiQ’s capabilities and standard processes.
  • Feedback Loop:
  • Partner with Product Management to share customer insights and propose product enhancements.
  • Streamlining Processes:
  • Optimize workflows between Sales, Operations, and R&D for efficiency and scalability.
  • RFP Responses:
  • Lead the technical response to RFPs and RFIs, showcasing our competitive edge.

Requirements

We’re seeking a technical and commercial trailblazer who’s passionate about renewable energy and thrives on creating value for customers. You should bring a strong mix of technical skills, sales acumen, and a proactive approach to problem- solving.

  • Degree in Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years in the renewable energy sector, with at least 1 year in a technical sales or sales engineering role.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication abilities, with experience working across diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Solid understanding of sales engineering processes and customer requirements.
  • A strong blend of technical expertise, strategic thinking, and commercial awareness.
  • Independent, pragmatic, and results-oriented with a "get things done" attitude.
  • Based in Raleigh, NC, with at least 3 days per week in the office. Willingness to travel up to 50% domestically and internationally (e.g., to our Brussels HQ).
