Robert Half is assisting a client in a highly specialized processing industry with the search for a skilled Preventative Maintenance Manager in St. Paul, Minnesota. This position will play a vital role in managing maintenance programs focused on reliability and equipment efficiency within a challenging industrial setting.
This position is critical in ensuring the longevity and efficiency of machinery and equipment, minimizing downtime, and maintaining a high standard of operational performance.
Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and manage a comprehensive preventative maintenance program for all processing equipment and facilities.
- Schedule and oversee regular maintenance and inspections to prevent equipment failures.
- Utilize CMMS (Upkeep) to track maintenance activities, work orders, and equipment history.
- Train and supervise maintenance staff, ensuring adherence to safety and operational protocols.
- Collaborate with production teams to minimize disruption and coordinate maintenance schedules.
- Analyze equipment performance data to identify areas for improvement and implement solutions.
- Manage the inventory of spare parts and maintenance supplies.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies.
- Respond promptly to emergency repair requests and manage the resolution process.
- Prepare reports and documentation related to maintenance activities and equipment performance.
Qualifications:
- 10+ years of experience in maintenance management, preferably in a meat packing or processing environment.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred; additional technical certifications or degrees in engineering, maintenance management, or a related field is a plus.
- Proficiency in using CMMS, experience in Upkeep is highly desired.
- Demonstrated ability to lead, train, and develop a team in a high-intensity setting.
- Strong technical knowledge of industrial machinery and equipment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Salary & Benefits:
- Salary Range for this position is $135-175K, bonus eligible
