The role involves working as a Senior Data Scientist, requiring a high level of proficiency in mathematical statistics and statistical algorithms. It is a vital role within our organization, responsible for developing and implementing mathematical models and algorithms to solve complex business problems.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement mathematical models and algorithms to solve complex business problems and enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Utilize optimization techniques such as linear programming, integer programming, and dynamic programming.
  • Develop and apply simulation models to support strategic objectives.
  • Collaborate with business units to understand their challenges and develop quantitative solutions that integrate seamlessly with their operations.
  • Conduct deep analyses of large datasets to discover trends and efficiencies, driving continuous improvements and innovations in business practices.
  • Continuously improve existing models by incorporating new data sources and updating methodologies based on the latest research and techniques.
  • Present complex model findings and strategic recommendations to senior management, ensuring alignment and informed decision-making.
  • Design models that are not only effective but also scalable and adaptable, preparing the organization for future challenges and opportunities.
  • Utilize programming languages like Python, Gurobi, CPLEX and build automation for developing and implementing large scale optimization models.
  • Integrate Machine Learning algorithms into decision-support tools, leveraging your knowledge of Operations Research techniques and mathematical modeling for supply chain optimization.
  • Must possess a minimum of 5 years of experience in the field of Data Science
  • Proficiency in Python is required
  • Expertise in Mathematical Statistics and Statistical Algorithms is necessary
  • Familiarity with Supply Chain Management within the Automotive industry is a plus
  • Experience with optimization software such as Gurobi and CPLEX is preferred
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively share insights from data analysis
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team setting
  • A Master's degree or higher in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field would be advantageous
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficient in using data visualization tools to present data insights effectively
  • Must have a strong attention to detail and accuracy in work
  • Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information responsibly
  • Familiarity with machine learning algorithms and predictive modeling is highly desirable.
